Simple process

How to use the YouTube Video downloader

A YouTube watch link identifies one video. The source may offer a complete lower-resolution MP4 plus separate video and audio tracks at higher resolutions. GalaxyFetch checks the actual format list before moving media bytes.

    Check available formats

Paste it and inspect the available qualities and estimated file sizes.

Screens are illustrative. Available media and delivery times depend on the public source.

01 / Paste

Start with the right YouTube Video link

A watch URL targets one YouTube video. Copy that address rather than a playlist link so the checker can inspect the exact item and its available formats.

Source-quality selection for YouTube Video

02 / Choose

Use a format the source actually offers

YouTube may provide a small complete MP4 and separate higher-resolution tracks. Selecting an adaptive quality takes extra transfer and merging; the size limit still applies.

03 / Save

Preview before you save

Once preparation finishes, use the playable result when available and save the MP4 with the separate download control. Long videos can take materially longer than Shorts.

Transparent by design

Fast path, safe fallbacks

A complete compatible file can use a fast delivery path. Higher adaptive formats require the worker to combine video and audio and may take longer. The progress bar is shown only when transfer measurements exist.

Works everywhere

Download on any device

Use Share → Copy link in the YouTube app, or copy a watch URL from the desktop browser. Choose from the displayed source formats; estimated sizes are marked when the source does not provide an exact byte count. The admin-configured maximum file size is enforced at selection and during transfer.

iPhone & iPad

Tap Share, then Copy link. Downloads appear in Safari and the Files app.

Android

Tap Share → Copy link. Find the finished MP4 in Downloads or your browser.

Desktop

Open the individual post, copy its address, then check your Downloads folder.

Why choose this tool

Clear choices, real source quality

Quality is selected before transfer, and the interface distinguishes fast complete files from slower adaptive merging.

Frequently asked questions

Helpful answers

Why does 1080p take longer than 360p?

Many high-quality YouTube formats have separate video and audio tracks. The worker must retrieve both and merge them before a browser-safe MP4 is ready.

Can I download a 900 MB file?

The current maximum comes from the admin dashboard and can change. The chosen source must fit the configured limit; an estimate alone is not a guarantee.

Can I use a private or login-only link?

No. GalaxyFetch handles only media that the source exposes publicly without an account. It never asks for your password, session cookie, or private-profile access.

Does downloading give me permission to reuse the file?

No. Save only media you own or have permission to use. Copyright and the source platform rules still apply.

Where will the file go?

Desktop browsers normally save to Downloads. Android uses Downloads or the browser download list. On iPhone and iPad, check Safari Downloads and the Files app.

Why might the download fail?

The post may be removed, restricted by region or age, require a login, or the source may temporarily refuse automated access. A public-looking page is not always a public media file.

How long does a prepared link work?

A prepared link is short-lived, normally about 15 minutes. If it expires, check the original public post again for a new link.

How is media handled?

Complete source files may use direct, edge, or proxy streaming. Formats that need merging may use a private, short-lived storage object. The exact route depends on source behavior and current configuration.
